North Ossetia — a space of silence and strength
Three days in the mountains of North Ossetia became an unusually clear experience for me. Everything changes quickly here: fog hides the valleys, rain washes away the sounds, and then suddenly the sun comes out — warm, almost summer-like. The landscapes revealed themselves differently each time: endless slopes, animals disappearing freely into the mist, and villages where people live as if time flows at another rhythm. What strikes most is the quiet confidence of the locals. The population is small, yet no one seems eager to leave for the cities. Their life is simple but far from primitive — it has a steadiness and wisdom that urban environments often lack.
This print series is an attempt to convey the feeling that rises in the mountains: space, freedom, strength, and inner calm. That state in which you breathe deeper and see wider.
I want these images to let you feel the same quiet and the same fullness of space that surrounded me there.
